Sunday, November 2, 2025FROM JERRY:Happy November, Church Family!As we enter this season of gratitude and giving, it’s easy to get swept up in the pace of life — shopping lists, family gatherings, year-end projects, kids’ sporting events and holiday plans. But before we move too fast, I want to encourage you to pause and remember that gratitude isn’t just a seasonal sentiment…it’s a spiritual discipline. Slowing down long enough to count every blessing allows us to see that God’s goodness has been surrounding us all along, even when life feels uncertain or actually hurts.Our new sermon series, “Counting Every Blessing,” is designed to encourage us to take inventory of the gifts God gives daily. Not just the ones wrapped in paper or celebrated on social media, but the quiet mercies that sustain us: the breath in our lungs, the kindness of a friend, the forgiveness of Christ, the peace that passes understanding.I also recognize that this time of year isn’t easy for everyone. Some in our church family and community are walking through deep valleys — grief, loss, financial hardship, or worry about what tomorrow might hold. Some are on strike and others are affected by government layoffs, etc. If that’s you, know this: God sees you. His blessings are not measured by material abundance, but by His abiding presence. Sometimes, the greatest blessing is knowing that even in our brokenness, we are not alone…YOU are not alone!As we journey together through this season, may we open our eyes to His grace — in laughter and in tears, in plenty and in want.
